Tourist guide
Cheonpo Gold Mine Village is a theme park, located at Hwaam Cave entrance. Although, gold miners and their families left the village long time ago, their houses were restored at the place. If guests look around the village before or after visiting Hwaam Cave, it will be more meaningful. Especially, if there are some people can't enter the cave due to their heath condition, the village can be a good place to wait their fellow travels.
Tourist Tips
The village is comprised of 16 buildings and a golden pond on 13,884 square meters. It reproduced gold miners’ rough lives in 1920 - 1945. The reenacted scene, that after working all day hard and fighting against the cold in mineshaft, drinking a bowl of Takju(Rice Wine) with potatoes and hot peppers, makes feel solemn.
