Tourist guide

Skywalk, a popular tourist site these days, is a Arii Hills Resort facility with fee, and there is a 10% discount for groups of 20 or more. On weekends and holidays, the parking lot of Byeongbangchi Skywalk is crowded from noon to 4 p.m., so it is recommended that you use the shuttle bus from the parking lot of Arii Hills Resort (5 minutes away from the observatory). The topography of the Korean Peninsula looked down from the Skywalk is popular for its view along with Seonam Village in Yeongwol and Dujunbong Peak in Okcheon, and since the Skywalk is close from Jeongseon 5-day Market, it is a place you must visit while traveling Jeongseon. Also, there is a zip-wire in the upper side of Byeongbangchi Observatory, which moves between the valleys at 100 kilometers per hour and makes you feel as if you are flying.

Tourist Tips

The Skywalk in Arii Hills Resort is the first skywalk in South Korea which is equipped with the longest zip-wire in Asia, ropeway, integrated IT system, etc. The magical landscape of Donggang River presents such a grand sight that it can be called the Grand Canyon in South Korea. The refreshing wind that makes you feel as if you are floating on the clouds up in the sky, the view of Bamseom (Islet) which looks like the Korean Peninsula, and the unexplored regions of the winding Donggang River present a marvelous sight. On the way to the zip-wire boarding gate, there are wooden stairs on the left side. If you go up the stairs, you will find a spot where you can see a grand sight for free. For those who have a fear of heights and hesitate to step foot on Skywalk, the place up on the wooden stairs where you can enjoy the nice view for free is highly recommended.
